Norberto Bobbio interprete di Marx e Gramsci : il problema della dialettica
The essay aims to reconstruct one feature of Norberto Bobbio's long-standing dialogue with Italian Marxists, and particularly with those scholars who belonged to the Italian Communist Party or were close to it. This feature concerns Bobbio's interpretation of the function performed by dialectic in Karl Marx and Antonio Gramsci's thought. More specifically, the essay focuses on two writings, namely La dialettica in Marx and Nota sulla dialettica in Gramsci, both published for the first time in 1958 and closely connected with each other, since the former paved the way for the writing of the latter. The analysis of these writings is carried out through a narrative reading that, first and foremost, aims to explain carefully their main contents, in the wake of Gramsci's warring not «push the texts, that is, to make texts say more than they really say, just for the sake of supporting a thesis».
