Ormea, Ferdinando
Gramsci e il futuro dell'uomo
«Professor at the Catholic University in Rome, physician and geneticist, and director of the complete Italian edition of Teilhard de Chardin. Ormea asserts that he came to Gramscian studies rather late and through the stimulus of Frenchscholars of Teilhard. But he did not find in Gramsci all those points of contact between Gramsci and Teilhard which had been anticipated. In his analysis of Gramsci, Ormea emphasizes his subjectivistic and humanistic components. He prudently proposesa comparison of Teilhard's eschatology with Gramsci's historicism» (M.B.).
