The social forms of consciousness such as common sense, folklore, good sense, religion, ideology and philosophy are analysed as part of a theory of knowkedge, following Antonio Gramsci's thought. Together, these forms of consciousness constitute the 'philosophy of an epoch' and they explain why the ideology is a 'place' where men acquire consciouness of social conflicts..
