As Contradições da subjetividade: Americanismo e fordismo em Antonio Gramsci
The article identifies a contradiction in the Antonio Gramsci's writings. It makes a synthesis of the ideas found in the Quaderni about the role of subjectivity in history. It highlights Gramsci'sinnovavative contribution in this area as a thinker that never presupposed the social actors' subjectivity, but that alwaysconceived it as a long process of criticizing, elaborating and surpassing ingenuous conscience forms. The article analyses the meaning and the range of the Gramscian conceptualization about Americanism and fordism. Moreover it criticizes the notion of subjectivity containedin this conceptualization. This is characterized by the author as historically dated, because it conceives the body as colonized by the intellect. This colonizationwas made by new forms of rationalization of the industrial work (from http://www.faced.ufjf.br/).
