An account of the debate on Il materialismo storico e il pensiero di Benedetto Croce (then published in 1948) which occurred at the Casa della cultura in Milan, January 9, 1945, simultaneously with the Pci Congress. Participants were comrades Sereni, Platone, and Alicata along with the liberal independent Umberto Segre, Prof. Bontadini, a Catholic, and the socialist writer Titta Rosa.
