Come Tatiana salvò i Quaderni di Gramsci. Un'ipotesi ricostruttiva
The research has as its object the action of Tatiana Schucht to save Gramsci's Notebooks,
after his death. Tatiana wanted to send manuscripts to Julia's sister, but she was
afraid that others interfere, taking possession of the work of the founder of the PCI.
It required the cooperation Sraffa, the economist who taught at Cambridge, and the
banker Raffaele Mattioli to secure the writings; precious testimonies are those of Nilde
Iotti and Giuliano Gramsci. It also considers the conflict that arose between the family
Schucht and Togliatti about Gramsci's literary heritage management. In conclusion:
it must be recognized in the main Tatiana credited with saving the work of Gramsci.
La ricerca ha come oggetto l'azione di Tatiana Schucht per salvare i Quaderni di
Gramsci, dopo la sua morte. Tatiana intendeva inviare i manoscritti alla sorella Julia,
ma temeva che altri interferissero, impossessandosi dell'opera del fondatore del PCI.
Fu necessaria la collaborazione di Sraffa, l'economista che insegnava a Cambridge, e
del banchiere Raffaele Mattioli per mettere al sicuro gli scritti; preziose testimonianze
sono quelle di Nilde Iotti e di Giuliano Gramsci. Si considera anche il contrasto che sorse
tra la famiglia Schucht e Togliatti circa la gestione dell'eredità letteraria di Gramsci.
Concludendo: va riconosciuto a Tatiana il merito principale di aver salvato l'opera di
Gramsci.
